Set-up for success

We often overlook the importance of beginning influencing the process and the results. It's so easy to be drawn to the results because most often It can be seen, rarely do we see the beginnings or the foundation. Take an example of the world’s tallest building Burj Khalifa It’s a masterpiece in the construction industry, you can also say is one of the greatest human achievement. Its an exceptional landmark with Its amazing architectural design that we surely know, but very few people know anything about Its construction. There were a lot of controversies during the construction of the foundation considering the sandy nature of Dubai. It was critical to building a foundation that could support the weight of the building that’s why the foundation had to be anchored on the basement rock.  The engineers knew the importance of a strong foundation that’s why they spent so much time and resources on It otherwise the vision of Burj Khalifa they had in mind would never have happened. No matter how amazing the architectural design is, the building will still fall If the foundation is weak.

This shows us the importance of not only building a strong foundation but also building them in on the right places. I am saying this because we started building our house four days ago and we are still in the process of establishing the foundation. It is up to us to build a strong foundation for this building that will last for ages to come and those that come after us. I have been thinking, It would be stupid to establish our foundation on sand (things that change over time) where all we can’t be assured of stability. Let us build on a rock that does not shake and that is God. God doesn’t change so we are assured of stability. At any point of this business let’s seek to serve God and not money. Money often takes the position of God because It promises the stuff we desire and without knowing It becomes a sense of security. Let’s beware of the distraction money brings and remember It is God who provides.  Money comes and goes but God will always be there. Let’s purpose to serve God and mankind with all that we have and because He has given us the ability to do so. There will is a lot of work in building this foundation and It might expect you to sacrifice with no guaranteed returns and It will get tough, in the midst of all that always be thankful to God for giving you such an opportunity and to show appreciation do It with all your zeal. Purpose to grow and become better in the area that you are in always try to improve no matter how minimal. Sharpen your God-given gifts and use them to serve Him, read books and learn as much as you can. The future is bright If we focus on what is important now. Otherwise, have a blessed week ahead
